Indulging …

This past January, I had the privilege of stepping out of the house in a way I never had before—by attending my first Creator Panel. The Atlanta Creators Meetup and Panel, hosted by Jayde Powell (Creator Tea Talk), Olivia Owens (Teach:able), and Manu Muraro (Your Social Team), was a refreshing dose of genuine, ambitious creative energy. It was exactly what I needed to reignite my curiosity after months of battling procrastination and perfectionism.

Key Takeaways from the Panelists

The conversation was filled with gems of wisdom and practical advice for creators looking to grow and sustain their craft. Here are the points that stuck with me the most:

Mindset & Creativity

  • “Joy is my KPI.” - J. Powell

  • “If you’re not taking care of yourself, you can’t be creative. If you don’t like it, you won’t do it.” - J. Powell

  • Find your it factor—what makes you unique? — M. Mauraro

  • Being yourself is what will help you win. — J. Powell

Building Relationships & Strategic Growth

  • Start reaching out to brands, but be strategic—no mass emails!

  • Show, don’t just tell. People are attracted to people, so let your personality shine.

  • Plan your content and write things down—organization fuels consistency.

Monetization & Business Strategy

  • Your 9-5 does not equal stability—start thinking about other income streams.

  • Digital downloads, email lists, templates, and business resources can generate passive income.

  • Repurpose your content—repeat your message so people remember you.

  • People want helpful, simple content—nothing time-consuming or overwhelming.

  • Create a low-ticket digital product that provides value and attracts your audience.

Final Thoughts

This event was the perfect reset for my creative switch. I left feeling recharged, motivated, and ready to do literally anything. If you’re a creator struggling with doubt, burnout, or direction, surround yourself with ambitious and like-minded individuals—it makes all the difference.

Have you discovered anything lately that has helped you stay more consistent?
